Plot summary: Steph has a report due on cavemen for class on Monday. Her parents will be attending a Disco Reunion that weekend since they had been dance champions many years ago. While on the weekend visit to their grandparents' house, Steph, her sister Jen, and their brother Will discover a magic time mirror in the attic. You see, in a conversation with the kids, Grandpa, to Grandma's dismay, let slip the fact that the mirror existed. That night after Grandpa and Grandma are snoring in their bed, Steph and Jen slip through the mirror to the actual time when cavemen lived. They befriend a sabertooth tiger named Spike who had learned English from a traveling professor named Henry, a language teacher. They also meet two real cave people named Ooga and Booga who are disco lovers just like Steph and Jen's parents. (Cavemen, disco lovers? You'll understand when you read the play.) Ooga and Booga travel back with the kids as "experts" on caveman times and, of course, Steph's report is a hit. Friendship spans the test of time and the generation gap to result in a very happy ending for all involved.
