Plot summary:Tony, the football hero, is constantly bragging about how cool he is.
At the same time, he is quick to belittle Walter Melon
(yes, "Walter Melon"), "nerd face" as Tony likes to call him.
Tony enjoys, among other mean things, to make fun of Walter's name.
Both boys want to take Priscilla, better known as Cilla,
to the dance after the big football game on Saturday.
The conflict continues between Tony and his friends, Slapshot
and Slick; and Walter and his friends, Squirt and Brains.
After incidents in Mrs. Matson's classroom and a local movie
theatre, Cilla decides that Tony is not for her.
Upon discovering a "magic coin" on his way home from school
that week, Walter's life is completely changed. (Was it the
coin or Walter himself that made the change?) Finally
Saturday arrives. Our hero wins Cilla's hand and they
celebrate on the dance floor with their friends around them.
