Plot summary: How many times have you wished you had your own private genie; someone who could grant all your wishes? People wish upon sparkling stars, on milkweed seeds, and even on turkey wishbones. What if all our wishes did come true? Would that be great or not so great? Jamie, a kid with an "attitude," thinks that it's okay to cause trouble or get involved in mischievous and sometimes downright nasty pranks as long as he doesn't get caught. While walking home from school one day, Jamie just happens to trip over what he thinks is just a piece of junk. That "piece of junk" just turns out to be (you guessed it) a genie's lamp right out of Arabian Nights. Out pops a young genie named Jerry who is new to this "genie thing." In fact you might say that Jerry is really much more clever than he first appears to be. He teaches Jamie that happiness in life comes from not always having your dreams come true, but from helping others make their dreams come true.
