"Willow Fairy's Wish"

Theme: It's nice to have dreams come true at least once in a lifetime.

Question: Doesn't everyone need a fairy godmother once in awhile?

Cast requirements: 31 total (12f/9m plus 10+ m or f)

Plot summary: The story is a familiar one. A princess is placed under a horrible spell by a jealous, evil fairy. Our villainess was mistakenly left off the guest list by a rather scatter-brained, easily-excitable court events planner named Catalabutte. Carabosse, the evil fairy, vows to get revenge for this slight by placing the lovely baby princess under a lethal spell that will become effective on her sixteenth birthday. Fortunately for the princess, all gifts have not yet been presented and Willow Fairy enters with hers. She is not able to cancel the evil spell, but she does modify it so that with love's first kiss the sleeping princess may awaken. By interweaving recorded selections from Tchaikovsky's wonderful ballet Sleeping Beauty as background and dance music, a lovely musical fairy tale will light up your stage. (I worked with my school's incredible music teacher Mrs. Breena Ray on this project to the delight of our audiences.)
